my family court

Terms of Service

Last updated: 14 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms form a legal agreement between you and my family court ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of our website, applications and related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Not legal advice

my family court provides legal information, structured guidance and drafting assistance for people navigating the family courts in England & Wales. It is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Nothing on the Service creates a solicitor–client relationship. Where possible, have any document reviewed by a qualified solicitor, Citizens Advice, or Support Through Court before filing.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Acceptable use

5. AI-generated content

The Service uses artificial intelligence to help draft documents and suggest structure. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. Every draft is marked as such. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting and verifying anything you file with the court or share with others.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the information, documents and evidence you upload ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited licence to store, process and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not sell Your Content and we do not use it to train third-party AI models.

7. Fees

Some features may require a paid subscription. Prices, billing terms and cancellation rules will be clearly shown at the point of purchase. Statutory consumer rights are not affected.

8. Availability

We work hard to keep the Service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of data, or any outcome of court proceedings. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms. On termination we will delete or return Your Content in line with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales.
